As far as builds go this is pretty simple. I have a steel plate with .008 inch slots in it that are quite worn. I had the idea of filling the slots with JB Weld and then recut them. All I needed was a small saw and a way to keep the blade perpendicular to the plate and cut in a straight line. The OpenBuilds Acro 55 looked like it would work for me. I did not need anything other than the base package. I bought a saw from Harbor Freight and just mounted it. I used aluminum blocks and c-clamps to keep the gantry in the X position I needed it and manually moved it in the Y direction to cut. I've attached two videos of the device in action.

Reason for this Build
I have a steel plate with thin (.008 inch) slots in it that are worn out. I'm having difficulties finding someone that can make me a new plate. I decided to try making my own tool to cut these slots. -
