Jamie. I will when i get back from a business trip on Wednesday. The major change i had to make was on the motors tr settings. ie $1tr It was set at 1.250. I had to delete something me trial and error testing. Using universal g codr sender i would jog it 10mm. Change it and measure again. It finally worked for me i beleive at 6.850 Now it cuts spot on for me using a raspberry pi 3 with json running in the garage.
Hi! Your build did not need any custom milled plates. Did I get this right? If so, this is a very elegant and easy to build solution! I was looking for something like this. Did you do a 3D model? Would you mind sharing it? Thank you! Patrick
No custom milled plates. 100% of the parts purchased at openbuilds, which made it very easy to put together. I did not make a 3d model. If you want any pictures please let me know.
Could you give me some information on the xz plate assembly? I don't see exactly what parts are need and how they are assembled. Thank you!
I was thinking about upgrading my platemaker to a 1000x500mm sphinx design but might go with your design and save a few bucks. it looks good.
Jim, I actually have since raised the X up a little bit. Giving me more Z axis clearance. I choose to go with the 1000 x 1000 simply giving me a largera area.
I'd love to go to 1000x1000 just do not have the room in the garage, maybe one day. Looks like tomorrow I'll be ordering a few more parts for the conversion. The platemaker just did not have the stability I was looking for.
