Got both the blackbox32 and interface and the blackbox works with the laptop but the interface makes a buzzing sound anytime I press a button like tools or to read the USB for firmware update, buzzes like crazy and reboots then I press cancel and reboots again buzzing.
What was the solution? Have the same issue. Saw the bit in the docs about the jumper, but my interface version is 1.7, no jumper included with blackbox (X32 v1.2) and the jumper I made, produced no different results
1) have you updated to Firmware v1.57? 2) V1.7s does not need the jumper, as per the docs it applies to older versions. If the firmware is up to date, and issue persists, please contact the store via Support > New Ticket. They will be the only way to assist further
Nope. Was not able to update the firmware. The interface is on 1.51 and I am unable to do anything, because as soon as I press anything it starts buzzing and reboots. It shows 2 messages on boot: WiFi: Entered configuration mode 1 Firmware: Unable to read
yep, that worked, but now control software does not see it on the network. It gets an IP, shows up on my router, seems to connect to the internet when I go to the settings and Firmware update, least it seems to do so. It says that the image is already the laters and reboots with something Failure message. I am not able to ping it (not sure its by design) and control only finds my laser printer. Are there network ports requirements? I have broadcast and mDNS enabled and working on this netwiork, so I don’t see why it would not show up
That's not what its for - nothing to do with Interface. You use CONTROL "OR" Interface, not both Checkout docs.openbuilds.com/interface again to learn more
my interface just recently started buzzing. it's random, it will usually complete a job then reset and start buzzing. I already updated the firmware, but it still happens once in a while. what else can we try to find out what's happening?
Have you updated recently? So you are on V1.57? It could be - if you know of any damage it could have picked up over time. We have cable tie slots on the back panel to help with strain relief. Check the connectors themselves to make sure the pins didn't become unseated etc.
yes I updated recently because it started doing that, I just have it stationary while its working, then it beeps job finished and randomly will reset and keep buzzing while its booting up again
As you mention end of the job, does your machine perhaps run into the limit switches at the end of the job? (as in triggered switches, not just near them?)
ah, then you need to fake the home How to 'Fake the home' having a good home position is not optional, safety moves rely on it.
Thanks for confirming. Try going into Tools and Utils > Interface Settings > Turn of Feedback and Beep (both uses a bit of extra power) and try again. See if improves your situation
