I can see this unit engraving, but what can the 7W laser cut successfully? Fiberglass cloth? Thin balas? What thicknesses? Etc.
445nm lasers are great at engraving. It can "cut" organics (cardboard, leather, wood) but ideally you want a CO2 laser for cutting. But... This is mounted to a Router. So use the appropriate tool for the job. Engrave artwork with the laser then switch tools and cut it with the router. Super fast, clean, perfection
Can the 7W laser cut aluminum foil? I need to cut aluminum heat exchanger fin that is between .003" and .005" thick.
Probably not, and the reflections will cause eye damage Its not just a power question, its about the wavelength. 445nm Near UV absorbs into organics like cardboard, leather, wood (to engrave/cut it needs to absorb the energy and turn it into heat) - aluminum won't absorb UV light, it will just reflect it. To cut Alu you need 1micron wavelength Fiber lasers. Even the 10600um Infrared of a CO2 laser won't really work on it
