Hello, I have seen the various dust boots for sale with outrageous pricing so... I got thinking what material can I try that no one else has? Or at least that I have ever seen. Here was my thought... Find an existing polycarbonate dome or facsimile thereof and attach the sweep bristles, drill the appropriate mounting holes for the router and vacuum hose. In the link below, here is what i thought of. $2.89 Dust Boot ! At $2.89 each I have 6 of them coming and the 5 matching lids. That way if it doesn't work I can let the wife have them for the kitchen LOL... The pan is made of polycarbonate which "should" hold up okay I would think. As you can see in the picture there is a ledge about halfway down the side... I was planning on cutting just above that, or in other words more towards the bottom leaving enough of it to create a suction and attach the bristles.
