I'm making a build somewhat similar to the OX. Given my current design, I can easily put the X-Axis cross beam in three different places with regard to the gantry wheels on either end. I can place the beam towards the rear of the gantry (opposite the Z-Axis). This would give a bit more travel before the spindle moves out of the main square of my router. Since the spindle sticks out in the front, this would be somewhat more balanced because the beam towards the rear would counteract somewhat the spindle in front. I could place the beam in the center of the wheels. This would be a bit unbalanced as the Z-axis weight would be all on one side. I could place the beam in the front. Since the Z-axis is in that same direction, it would be the least balanced. But maybe it would counteract the natural twist that happens when you plunge because all the weight would be against the twisting motion. What do you think? Which is the best way to balance the X-Axis cross beam in relation to its gantries? -D
