First project Genmitsu ProVerxl 6060 Improved with OpenBuilds System Management

Hi all,
Here is the story of my first Genmitsu 4030 V1 CNC Build Initiated in 2022.

A Chinese box pre-built kit, it worked for my learning for 3 months and I dismantled everything to upgrade it into 600x600 with a hybrid bed. Why 600x600 ? For lack of space in my little workshop!
I am considering a 1000x1000 evolution for the near future.

Since my childhood I have dismantled everything ... Because I am curious (we are certainly very numerous in this practice on the forum)

In this time, things have evolved, the most urgent was the Chinese Spindle 1.5kW with VFD which allowed more important achievements, then the modifications for the management of the machine, on the internet, this subject of machine management is a real Jungle and my curiosity quickly turned to Openbuilds, I did not know this system and it had been two months since I studied this solution which was the right one for my expectations.
Today all is 100% managed with openbuilds technology and I am completely satisfied with it, I am satisfied with the machine, the results obtained with my skills level and I am proud to have chosen OpenBuilds.

In the near future I will install an automatic tool change kit. Solutions with high-performance controllers exist but I hope to be able to control with the Blackbox X32, technically this controller has a very good design and I hope to be able to develop the machine without having to go to another controller.

For my study and the search for information, the forum is well structured and the many subjects are clearly identifiable without loss of time to compare other jungle forums on the subject CNC.
Thank you to all the people who helped me on this forum, and with whom I was able to learn each time I asked a question about a problem or simple information.

April 2024 - Resolution of the EMI problem thanks to the Openbuilds team


December 2025 - Added Genmitsu rotating axis


January 2026 - New machine currently being developed, from 6060 vs 1010 working surface.
I keep the 6060 for other smaller jobs.
