Working on a test cut for my first run on the LEAD1010. Using F360 I drew a basic block with a hole in the middle. Got my CAM set up, using the OB F360 post processor and got the gcode open into the OpenBuilds Control v1.0.258 When I run the simulator the bit (green cone) starts at the stock top and crawls to the first cut. Shouldn't it raise to the clearance height then move a lot faster to the first cut? Where can I adjust the non-cutting moves and raise to a clearance height? My test gcode is attached. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Simulator isnt aware of G53 moves. Run it and see The simulator is more of a fun fun feature... Eye candy, simple reviewing
"Shouldn't it raise to the clearance height then move a lot faster to the first cut?" Are you paying for a F360 Subscription? One of the recent changes to F360 was that the non cutting moves were the same speed as the cutting moves. no adjusting I believe. Unless you have sub. I could stand corrected but before I used to set my max accel speed in the GRBL settings then the cutting speed in F360. It would work accordingly.
You can have some of the rapid moves back if you use @David the swarfer 's latest version of the post processor for Fusion/grbl. docs:software:fusion360 [OpenBuilds Documentation] Alex.
Paid subscription: yes Latest version of post processing: yes but will DL it again to be sure. Where are the rapid moves listed? All I have for speeds is spindle speed, surface speed, ramp spindle speed, cutting feed rate, feed per tooth, lead in feed rate, lead out feed rate, ramp feed rate, plung feed rate, and feed per revolution. Somehow I feel like I'm missing that snake that's right in front of me. Thanks everyone
The speed used for rapid moves is determined by settings within GRBL, the software in the controller. These are the 'max rate' settings for each axis. Read all about it here. Knowledge is power (-:
Friends I had to replace my lap top , I am having difficulty with transferring the post processer and my local tool library, I have posted to autodesk so far nothing has anyone had these problems ? Thanks
