Can anyone assist with this error please? After probe, and setting to material zero, the machine jogs forward and I get this error message. Brand new issue. I tried re-homing and restarted the equipment but nothing seems to work
Have you tried any of the solutions mentioned? Did you try an air-cut without the router on to rule out EMI from the router. Do you have a dust collector? If yes and the hoses are not grounded, did you try to ground them, etc... I had not looked at it until Sharmstr posted that link because I have never had EMI issues before and now I watched a video regarding ferrite beads and learned something new today. Actually, I take that back. Two weeks ago I had a USB issue when I was cutting something and vacuuming by hand because it was something I had never done before and wanted to watch the cutter. I dragged the vacuum hose (ungrounded) over my usb cable and the job stopped and I got a usb error. That was the only time in almost 6 years I had an EMI issue, but I new ungrounded hoses can cause them so I new what the problem was.
Okay, so I have to confess.... I had NO IDEA what EFI was and frankly, didn't even read that part of the document. Super interesting with lots of good information. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. The ferrite beads are really interesting. Off to the shop for some deductive analysis! Thanks again
Yeah EMI is a strange thing. Like I mentioned, I have never had an issue except for the time about two weeks ago. I usually use a dust shoe and my vacuum hose and router power cable are not near my low voltage stuff. They are both suspended from the ceiling above the machine so they have never come near the USB before.
I wanted to share how I resolved this, with the hope it might help others. As Giarc recommended, I disconnected all other components that might be causing EMI. Still no luck. Then I decide to scrap that file and re-build it. (It was a simple square cut out, so no big deal) Presto. All is good. Somehow that file must have become corrupt. Good learning experience.
