Found the following info on the gnea/grbl Wiki on github and am confused. " Just make sure that all of your drivers and the Arduino share a common ground (star grounded with your motor driver power). This is about all you'll need to get started." Aren't the drivers and arduino grounded common when connected to my laptop?? Do I run a lead to the 24v transformer ground?? A wiring diagram would be much appreciated. Thanks
I'm using Candle with grbl1.1h installed. Got distracted yesterday, like everyone else, will do some more investigating today. The drivers are set with 5v on the Dir. and Pul. plus input's and don't seem to be going low on the neg. input's when the command is sent from Candle. That's why I wondered about the ground connection.
Found an article under "Electronics" that says don't worry about it unless your large scale commercial. Guess I'll go with that.
