Could someone comment on the reliability / dependable of the Openbuilds Part Store? I would like to build a CNC Router and have been viewing the parts they have for sale. I would like to insure they are a good source for various CNC Parts, before I place an order. The only reason I raise this question, is that I have forwarded them several E-Mails and none of them have been replied to. They don’t provide their telephone number on their Ad., so I’m not sure if this is an viable source or not. If you know anything about this company, please let me know?
No problems here. Also if you want this style of double point roller and extrusion you don't have much in the way of options. IMO the single point rollers are defective from an engineering perspective (that's how I discovered their initial kickstarter when I went looking for something better). Shipping was quick and the cost across the board is very reasonable. Possibly the only thing to worry about is when they run out of stock on store items.
I placed a large order and it was delivered very well packed. I too, had sent them emails without hearing back, but in the end they delivered what I needed. I agree that prompt customer support is needed.
I have placed probably 10 different orders over the past few months, never had any issued with delivery, packing, or missing parts... I will agree the communication is slow at times, but as far as parts go i'm happy with them...
I ordered just before Christmas, no issues at all, packaged and arrived quickly. Expert packaging to make sure everything arrives perfect. Only issue is not all parts are in stock all the time. But I have noticed that most parts are very quickly re-stocked. Really great service in my opinion...

So far I have had nothing but issues. In particular no level of customer support what so ever. After encountering several assembly issues and finally getting to where I could get done production out of the machine, a. Software update comes along that is unable to execute and I’m sitting here wondering why I can’t get help. E mails are slowly responded to, the issue I had it took two days to get a response and here I am once again....waiting. Unacceptable
I have ordered several times from them and never had a problem. They always respond to my e-mails within 1 to 2 days every time.
The customer service team has informed me that have been helping you on their end. Please continue to work with them. They are great and will definitely take care of you.
Look in your spam folder for the replies, they ALWAYS reply, but for some reason (maybe because it is a business, or the sheer volume of mails from them) many corporate spam filters (even Gmail) think the replies are spam.
Yeah, this initially happened for me as well (email ending up in the spam folder.) The store staff were super helpful in helping me create a custom parts list.
