Hoping someone can help me figure out if I have a bad motor or there is something else I'm not catching.

Motor is my Y2 motor. I have checked the wiring, I have plugged it into the Z Axis connection on the black box to see if it was a slave issue but it didn't work there either. All my other motors hum along nicely and respond. This one seems to be seized or something, It doesn't want to spin, even though it seems like its trying to. Really hard to explain so I took a little video of what it sounds like and what it seems to be doing. Any guidance would be appreciated!!

    thanks.

Have you checked the coil pairs with a multimeter?

Excellent, thanks for the replies. I'll check that out after my morning coffee and report back!

Seems it was a problem with the cable bit must be broken somewhere. I replaced it with some speaker wire to see if I can get it working and it works beautifully now. I'll have to replace with some real cable.

Home depot has shielded 4 wire alarm cable in 22 and 18 awg, it's like 50 or 60c a foot.

That is what I used on my first CNC build. It has been going strong for 5 years.
