Hi All, I just put together a LEAD CNC 1010 and I have been experimenting with feed rates. I was just wondering if anyone has determined what this machine's maximum feed rate is? So far I have it running at 3000 mm/min (118 ipm) but I'm not sure how much farther I can go before "strange things" start happening. Any feedback would be appreciated. Regards, Scott
Hi Peter, Thanks for the info … I will test it out. Perhaps you (or others) can help me with another question. I will be making my first cut soon using a 1/4" 2 flute downcut endmill on MDF. My initial research on feed rates are crazy fast (6600 mm/min to 8120 mm/min). Can you provide some feedback regarding this? I am a complete newb in this new hobby. Thanks, Scott
This is a rough guide for a 1/4" end mill - start a bit lower on the feedrate and increase until it sounds as though the router/spindle is working too hard and back off a bit. Speeds and feeds Alex.
How would you go about tuning the feed rate and acceleration? I'm just starting out on the Lead 1010 and am using the touch interface since I dont have access to wifi. I see this forum is from a couple years ago so how has the feedrate and acceleration changed? Is it still 1000mm/min and how would I go about changing it? What can I expect for the acceleration tuning/how would I go about doing this?
