    Hi

I am running a Black Box, Open Builds Interface and the XYZ Probe Plus.

    1. I Home the machine and it works as it should work, No problems there.
    2. Then I jog out to the work piece.
    3. Center the bit to the hole of the xyz probe.
    4. Load the xyz probe file.
    5. Check the probe plate and see that it is working ( Green Light).
    6. Hit ok.
The machine checks the Z axis and lights the green lights and that is when I get an Error message.

Error 2 Numeric value format is not valid or missing an expected value.

I hit Cancel and if I jog the Z axis it raises up till it hits the Limit Switch.
Then I cancel out of that and Home the machine and it goes home.

Glad I got Limit switches and hard Limits on because I don't think it would have stopped.

Since I'm fairly new to all this I don't know why it's doing that nor how to fix it.
I checked all the wires and I didn't see anything wrong.

    1. The USB drive on the Interface stopped working and then after unplugging and plugging the thumb drive back in several times it is working again.
Also I got probe xyz to work for first time.

I was not able to get update Firmware via cell phone.
I got all the way to this part.

    3 Reboot to take effect
If this happens, use your phone to try the above process again, or check your Wifi network configuration, DHCP setup, Passphrase, Signal strength, etc

    :banghead:

btw what version is firmware at now?

You dont update via phone. You use that Web interface to put the Interface on your Wifi Network. If it doesnt work you either do not have sufficient signal for the Interface, or typed wrong Password, clicked on wrong SSID.

This is what you just posted a link to
    docs:interface:wifi-setup [OpenBuilds Documentation]

    2. Connect to the OpenBuilds Interface's "INTERFACE" access point using your PHONE!

Why are you telling me "You don't update via phone." when right in the documentation it says
    2. Connect to the OpenBuilds Interface's "INTERFACE" access point using your phone!
You posted a link to it on this site that is exactly what it tells people to do.

Also when I try to update the firmware on the Open Builds Interface via USB it says
    Flash too Small.

So what's the problem there? Why won't it update firmware?

And where are all the old Firmware files from 1.24 Factory default on up?

Because you don't :) "update" via the phone

You use your phone just as a web-interface to set up the Interface to Connect to your Home WiFI Network.

After that one task the phone is gone from the equation, as the Interface is connected to your Wifi Network now (hopefully)

Interface uses the Wifi network for many things, just one of which is updates.

The phone never part takes part in the updates.

Refer to the steps in the menu on the left (or buttons at bottom) of the documentation:

    1) Get it onto Wifi: section 3.1 of the Docs: docs:interface:wifi-setup [OpenBuilds Documentation]
    2) Updates has its own dedicated documentation in section 3.2: docs:interface:firmware-update [OpenBuilds Documentation]

Covered in section 5.3 of the Frequently-Asked-Questions: docs:interface:firmware-error-partitions [OpenBuilds Documentation] - occasionally you have to update via CONTROL - self-update can only handle minor versions, when there are major changes you update via the Bootloader, as explained in the Docs.

On Github, but you never want older versions. Use the very latest please, why would you want an old version without new features and with bugs that's been fixed in latest version

    Thanks for the help.
