Having around 25 yrs experience having fun working in CNC machining and training and being happy with my Workbee 1510, I have 2 suggestions for the Control software. When it comes to simulating a job, it would be extremely helpful if 3 adjustments could be made to the Simulate window. 1. Give the user the option to have all 3 buttons (1x, simulate and Reset view) to be moved either vertically to the right or left of the actual simulation window. This would help greatly to see the movement of the node going around. 2. As the simulation is taking place, unless I've missed it, it would greatly help in the spirit of evaluating the actual process, to see 3 textboxes showing each x, y and z values changing as the simulation is happening. 3. And finally, it would help older eyes like mine (56 yrs old pirate eyes) to have a wider view of the actual process by having the possibility of having that simulation part be blown up in its own pop-up window. I feel that the simulation is the last step before the machining is done and before actually skrewing things up, a chance to see it better would help. And there you go. Keep up the good work people!
Use middle and Right mouse button to pan and orbit the Gcode around for an ever better view, and use Mousewheel to scroll in and out to really get in there We did have that a while back, but at this time the performance overhead of that was deemed unviable - the ability to load large gcode files trumped that - the Grid does give a good enough view for what this Sim is intended for (a quick overview) Double-click the titlebar along the top to maximise the window
Not sure what your setup is, but if you are using a monitor, you might want to use it in portrait mode with Control in full screen. That's what I do and it makes the simulation area quite big.
