I am relocating my blackbox under my Lead machine and will be making a bracket which will be held onto the rear of the blackbox. There are four similar threaded holes which is what I would like to fasten my bracket to with short screws. Does anyone know the thread size ?
The threaded fasteners are M3: Button Head Screws M3 (10 Pack) (holds the case on) The grid of blank holes are M5: Low Profile Screws M5 (10 Pack) (meant for attaching to things) See docs:blackbox:assemblyinstructions [OpenBuilds Documentation] (used to ship as a kit, nowadays you guys have it lucky as pre-assembled)
turns out the M3 is too small, the M5 too large, however the M$ thread fits. I'm off to Lowes. Thanks Tom
Peter: You are correct. My thread should have been referring to the back of the power supply and not the back of the blackbox. sorry about that. I have the bracket now mounted to the rear of the power supply with four M4 short bolts. The new location is just under the Lead 1010 table to keep it out of the cuttings dust and mounted with the blackbox with the special 3D printed bracket which hold both the power supply and blackbox.
