Hi, I just build a LEAD 1515 and everything is working fine except that when I move 800 mm on the openbuild interface it only moves 790 mm in the real world, this is for both x and Y, I did not check Z yet. I have loaded the lead 1515 GRBL settings with the interface so I dont understand how this happens. I can of cause fix it by changing the e steps but why is the default configuration not working?
I am using openbuilds interface. My question realy is not how to fix it but to understand how it is possible. 10 mm off is a lot and its exactly the same value in both x and y direction so to me it sounds like the LEAD 1515 configuration file is wrong. Why not update it at make one thats accurate?
Manufacturing tolerances, assembly differences, differences in leadscrew tensions etc. Calibration is a standard step of bringing any machine online Please use a PC and CONTROL to complete the calibration.
