Hi, I am new here, and couldn't find any help on this. I have a OB1515, when I make my svg into g-code using cut2D pro and import it into the control software, It cuts my designs smaller then what I had them into the cut2D software, any reason why this could be happening. Using Blackbox
Home it, then zero your axes (X, Y and Z). Jog while keeping an eye on it, and stop just before crashing each axis. Write down the DRO values (if you home toward the positive side of the axis, the DROs will be negative as you move away from the switch, but still show how far you were able to move) Enter these actual values into Grbl > Max Travel for each axis: gnea/grbl (so the machine can stop short of crashing using Soft Limits) Our default profile includes values already: X: 1180mm Y: 1270mm Z: 90mm But you can squeeze out a little extra by checking on your machine, depending on where you mounted the limits etc For longer cuts, use Tiling: and a feed through table to hold the stock as you move it
awesome, I think a lot of the issues were solved with the step calibration earlier. and one last thing, sometimes the Y-axis is being jogged and both sides are not parallel. one gets briefly stuck while the other one is missing, and this is not at the same spot all the time. what could be causing that?
Loose setscrew on the shaft couplers , causing slight slipping of the coupler on the motor shaft, or leadscrew. Make sure the setscrew on the motor shaft is on the flat of the D-shape shaft, and all setscrews properly tight. A little non permanent loctite helps keep them from rattling loose later.
well that solves all the problems, I can finally throw away the packaging. Thanks again for all your help.
