I really would prefer the router11, but it’s taking a while to get back in stock (without having to buy a whole package). Anybody use a stepcraft mm-1000 on their lead machine?
That is a rebranded AMB/Kress spindle, uses a 43mm mount (you can get that from 43mm Spindle Mount for C-Beam Brackets He also posts here on the forums, look for the guy who started the Piranha build). I use the AMB 1400 DI 220V version with the mount I linked to above. Works fine. Uhh.. I Stand over it holding my shopvac for now and follow it along periodically. Nice thing about the spindles, unlike the trim routers which blow downwards, the AMB ones don't, so dust does not get blown all over the place. Still don't want it to collect too much.
