Upgrade CNC 1510 to lead screw? I want to upgrade my belt driven to lead screw, somebody did this? the belt-driven is not accuracy. please help me to solve this problem
Yes, you can. Checkout the Tension XL actuator - for a 1500 leadscrew you need to tension it to prevent whip: C-Beam® Tension XL Linear Actuator
In the link above. Theres a complete assembly Video, and part list is on the Parts list tab of the Build. CAD files for closer inspection is on the Files and drawings tab too. Just click on through all the information is there. Parts are all available separately at Openbuildspartstore.com
ok, I find the link but I don't find any Assembly instructions on how to translate my 1510- belt driven to lead screw... or the electric Assembly instructions. yes, I open the 3d cad but it's not for the 1510 cnc machine.. please help me to upgrade my machine I can't work with the belt-driven its not accuracy... ):
That actuator has the Tensioning components I mentioned, to give you an idea how that works. There is of course no "instructions" for a non-standard conversion you will have to apply logic and see which of the parts you have, and which you don't, the order, and assemble it yourself. Its a modular build system, like Lego Watch the 1010 video to see how thats built, and then for the longer 1500 axis, watch the XL Tension Actuator video so you know how to build a longer axis too then combine that knowledge
Yes its a great idea, Thanks for the replay. And what about the electricity? (I have black box). And what is the new settings in the open build controller? Thanks for the help!
Will be fine. Adjust Max Travel, steps per mm, acceleration etc. See github.com/gnea/grbl/wiki (yes, read all of it)
