So I have a lead 1010 which I am quite happy with. I find myself needing a bit more length out of my machine. I'd like to be at least 48" ... Is that as easy as buying new side rails and screws?

Would love to keep my width but have the length of a Lead 1515. What would I need to purchase??

    Thanks all.

Jerry, you got it, I would recommend using the screw thrust bearing approach to use tension on the screws (if you are not already) to reduce screw whip.

If you look at the parts list for the 1515 thrust bearings are listed as well as the other plates. The thrust bearings add tension to the lead screws to keep them from whipping which is more likely at the 1500 mm length. OpenBuilds LEAD CNC Machine 1515 (60" x 60")

Just to restate the obvious you will need longer bed rails too. And depending on how your wiring is set up you may also need a longer drag chain and wiring.
