Ni Everyone, Not sure if this is the forum to post this message. I already have my spindle connected to the tool position on the blackbox which controls my vfd. I remembered reading something about a relay on the blackbox that controls your external tools, I decided that if I got this to work I could add ,y water pump for my spindle since I do forget to turn it on at times. If I add the IOT switch to my build how would I connect this to the blackbox without disconnecting what I already have connected to the toolhead port. I already have everything wired up in my enclosure and connected via aviation connectors. Has anyone done this and can give me some pointers, I am looking to purchase that switch as I type this. I would think that you could just run another set of wires to the IOT power strip. Or plug both tools (pump and spindle) into the IOT strip and use one set of wires. I believe there are 2 normally off plugs on the IOT that are turned on by the signal from the controller.
Of course if the spindle is 220v and everything else is 110v then you can't utilize both plugs so the two separate sets of wires from the Blackbox may be the best bet.

Thanks guys, I wasn't sure if I could run additional wires to the IOT (everything is 110v). Then on the bad side the OpenBuilds store is saying that the IOT is out of stock.
Or use the dedicated COOLANT output: similar to docs:blackbox:connect-coolant [OpenBuilds Documentation] but instead of a vacuum, plug in the water pump. I would advise against pairing the IoT for a spindle water pump with the spindle/toolhead/pwm output as sometimes you'll want lower RPMs, and the IoT does not like PWM signals (which is what would be present during lower than 100% speeds) - also, you want to setup your CAM posts to keep the coolant pump running after the end of a job - just after the spindle stops, there is still heat soak, you'll want to the pump to run 5mins or so longer to prevent that last heat from not getting taken out As that output is 24v you could also replace the AC pump (assuming its the typical cheap aquarium pump they gave you?) with a 24v DC pump wired directly to the Coolant output - might be easier to order a 24v water pump Something like https://www.amazon.com/ZAOJIAO-Brushless-Centrifugal-Submersible-Circulation/dp/B07G9Z8V21
