    Change your skim depth to .5mm to start. For the width and length, set xy zero then jog your machine around to get accurate values.

    and those accurate values will come from homing my machine and then taking these numbers down? x y moved out to their max ? thanks a bunch

    exactly! I had initially just used the work area data from the specs on the open builds site. this seems smarter. thanks for the heads up

    ok, so I went out to the shop and pushed everything to its limits on the x and y axis. I came back with this. this looks like I gained a few mm. great advice. thanks a ton.
