Hi all, I am making a new thread, beceause I think I found the problem of the 'x-axis not backing up'. I managed to get the stuttering of the machine away by checking the 'invert step pulse' box, so that one is solved. Now remains the problem of the x-axis not backing up when homing. Also, when running a g-code, it rounds corners fine in the x-minus direction, but in the x-plus direction, it squares of corners, and when doing splines, it goes all jerky. I then swapped the X and Z motors around at the blackbox, so I connected the z-axis to the X-port, and the X-axis to the Z-port. Then suddenly, X worked fine! Now Z had the same issues. My clue is that probably the X-port on the blackbox is not working properly? Is there a way to check this?
You have already tested for this and proved a faulty port, now you need to contact the store Submit a ticket
I submitted the ticket, but when I try to log into the support portal with the same password and e-mail as on this site, I get an error that the mail and password don't match. I also cant change my password, It says I am not authorised to access that panel, and that I should contact the helpdesk administrator, is that normal?
Note the drivers inside BlackBox needs that DISABLED. Step Invert is for customers running other kinds of breakout boards and external drivers like DM/Q542s wired in Open Collector configuration
alright, noted. but when they are disabled, i get crazy stutter. with it enabled on Y, it runs smooth. Could that be related to the defect part of the blackbox?
We'll see when you get your replacement - i have some doubts, but lets eliminate hardware first, one less thing to check
