    Hi again.
Can somebody tell me if this is correct?
I seem to have two problems with my z plate set up.
The screws seem to extrude too far out, impeding the spindle mount going up and down as it would hit the screws.
Also....the ball screw seems too long, leaving a very small milling gap between the ball screw and the machine bed.

What type of machine is that? Ox?
If so, yes, grind the screws down a bit they are too long
Leadscrew looks a little long too - and you are missing the bottom plate with the bearing and stop collar

Hi, sorry for the late answer, yes it's an OX machine.
The leadscrew at the bottom is too long yes, it gives me only a few mm space...but I'm going to use the actual table it sits on instead of installing bed. So I have lots of room.
I'll grind them down but even the nut protrudes. I was in town and purchased some new bolts so hopefully I can space them out. I figured I'd end up grinding them as there is no other way that I can see.
    Thanks for the answers!

Yes I still haven't added the bottom plate.
The machine arrived without a collet to fasten to the bottom plate, it was the only thing missing for some reason.
I though I was missing a separator for the spindle mount but will grind them down as suggested above

Can I just cut the lead screw flush to the bottom plate?

Yes, if you are sure the top end is correctly assembled (Or in other words, why is it too long? Did you order an incorrect length or was something put together incorrectly)

That looks like the length of the motor standoffs.. how about a pic of the whole z axis?
