I use a black box controller for my 1010 style CNC with dual motors on the y axis. Every fourth time or so when I start, the left motor is not engaged, only the right. I can turn it with my fingers.

When I power off and on, it re engages.
    Any ideas!

Labor day long weekend, so more likely Tuesday :)

That said, returns for driver issues are very rare. More likely wiring on my bets, secondly Fault indicator.

The the fault indicator is indeed on. What does that mean?
Should I up the current or pare it down, or is it some other issue?

Another thought. I turn the back box and power supply together. Should I be turning on the power supply first, then the controller?

Normally yes, otherwise PSU might still be ramping up

I’ll try that and see if it fixes it. Thanks!
