Hello. In the wiki list for GBRL V 1.1 I can find the G40 for cancelation of compensation. How to compensate when not having G41 and G42
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe grbl ignores those G41, 42 codes? As far as I am aware you have to put the actual diameter of the bit into your cam software. Alex.
Many posts include Cancel Comp as a way of confirming its not using it. Grbl thus supports the command - rather than error out if it encounters a G40 it accepts it because rightly so it cancels (its nonexistant) compensation, then continues. This is valid and honors the gcodes intention It SHOULD error on G41 etc because it doesn't allow compensation, but G40 is valid because it matches what Grbl offers (no compensation)
