    Hi all.

I was told about Openbuilds interface and decided to try it. I was running grbl previously. Downloaded and and and and somewhere I slipped up. I did something and the error is…

ERROR!: No supported firmware detected - See docs:blackbox:faq-usb-connection-failed [OpenBuilds Documentation] for more details. Closing port COM3

I don’t have a Blackbox. After reading up on this error and skimming the forums I must have downloaded the wrong file. How do I fix this problem? I can’t find anything relating to this problem. Tried uninstalling and installing again but it seems to be lock in place for now.

    Thanks in advance

    Idriaan

Here's the documentation for OpenBuilds Interface
    https://docs.openbuilds.com/interface

That looks like a CONTROL error. INTERFACE's errors are typically shorter. Make sure you are sure which if the two you have

Both CONTROL and INTERFACE works with controllers running standard Grbl 1.1 from github.com/gnea/grbl/wiki

HI guys. Thanks for the advice. I cant say exactly what I did but it work. I did follow Peter advice and it came right. Thanks Peter. I have a problem on top of this one I cant get right now. My Z probe registers long before it gets to the Z plate. First it moved upwards but sorted that out. A lot of people seem to have the same problem but I cant seem to figure it out.
Thx in advance and again thank you for the quick response on my first question

Probably still relates to the unaswered question above ^

    What CONTROLLER are you using?

BlackBox has optocoupled and filtered inputs to prevent EMI from causing false limits/probe triggers.
    Consider getting one :)

And then I guess same question goes, what PROBE are you using?
