Hi Peter and Shawn, An acquaintance had problems with his CNC where he just stopped in the middle of a program and said code 22 came on the screen. If I have searched properly now, it is this code: STATUS_GCODE_UNDEFINED_FEED_RATE 22 and I think that would mean that there is a feed rate missing somewhere. Did I understand that correctly? Yes. On whatever line it errored out on. The serial console tab will provide more information. But if it happened in the middle of a program, it might be that some sort of serial corruption happened due to EMI. Hard to know without more info. docs:blackbox-4x:faq-emi [OpenBuilds Documentation]
yes, there is a G1/2/3 line without an accompanying or prior feedrate F word. How did he create the Gcode? if he wrote it himself, now he knows he must put a feedrate on or before the first G1 line if he used a CAM posprocessor, it needs to be modified, this is actually a bug in the post.

Well gentlemen, The person I was talking about visited me yesterday and looked at my machine and how it works. I mounted the extension switches, an xyz probe and the blackbox and everything is running as it should. He doesn't have all this. It has some cheap limits no probe and a VDF spindle. It turns out to be a machine with the same part as the 1010 of openbuilds, but assembled here in the Netherlands by someone who probably orders the products in China and assembles the machines here with all separate parts. I explained to him that the VDF produces a lot of EMI and that he actually has to use the extension switches for that, that he has to separate all the cables. Then he can hope that what happened to him will not happen again. During his program, the machine stopped and sounded an alarm. He turned off the alarm and pressed start again, causing the cutter to plunge down at a crawl and burrow into the workpiece, causing the machine to lose squareness. I explained to him that in such a case you always have to home again and from there you can go back to the work zero point. Since he does not have a probe, this caused a lot of difficulties. So I suggested that he also purchase the probe. Actually, he should also get rid of that VDF and get a regular router, but that's his own decision. He will now approach the supplier to get his machine in order. This has become a long story but I thought you should also know the ending and the possible solution hence my response.
