I have a quick question... what is the general feed rate and dewalt speed settings for cutting general harwdoods like maple , oak, alder, mohogany... i know this is just general im just trying to get a feel for what others are using... with typical 1/4" flute ?
nice thank! Download link seems to be broken but when I tried to print the page it seems to lay it out ok without any cutoffs for multiple printing pages! woud be nice to have it all on one sheet but happy I can print!
Just from reading tons of speeds and feeds documents, the general guidance I have seen is just leave it on 1. That's 16000 RPMs at its lowest setting and most spindles operate a lot slower than that. I use #1 for everything, and adjust my feed rate accordingly. I am only a hobbyist, but I have read several articles from life long machinists who say to leave the dewalt on the lowest setting as increasing it means you just have to increase your speed and feed rate and our home CNCs are not as sturdy as the $40k ones that can run fast and handle deflection events. YMMV, especially if you are CNCing foam
