Hopefully I can describe this correctly. I’ve configured my 1010 in vectric and set a job size of 11.25 on x and y. X y datum is set at front left in toolpath on vectric in the toolpath. Job setup is center datum position. I’ve homed then set job piece zero with the probe plus at front left. Then I load my saved file from vectric to control and the 3d view always has the job placed in the right top corner. The scale is only at 8”s on x and y axis’s on the 3d view. In machine configuration on vectric I have x set at 730mm And y set at 810mm. What am I doing wrong here? I just checked something that I thought about but not sure if it makes a difference? My post process is set at GRBL (mm) Does it need to be set in inches?
If using inches, then yes. Also use the OpenBuilds post processors for Vectric. docs:software:vectric [OpenBuilds Documentation] Also, I am confused. You say XY is "Front left," then "Job setup is center datum position" and you are probing front left. See picture below and clarify if your zero point is front left like I selected, or the middle (center XY datum point). If it is like mine, then you are probing the correct location. If you chose the center, then you need to set XYZ 0 at that point not the front left.
The 3d view is only going to draw out as far as your furthest toolpath. It doesnt know anything about your job size in vectric. Lets say that you told vectric that your job size is 10" x 10". You want to cut out a 5" square from the lower left corner. Control is only going to to show you 5" in x and y.
