    Evening everyone,

So I was using my 1010 tonight just fine, with no issues, well, except that the interface would always get stuck In reboot loop if USB was inserted when it was booting up. Removing the USB, it booted up just fine.

But tonight if finished the cut, i I licked OK, removed the USB and went to the computer to upload additional gcode files. All of a sudden the interface entered reboot loop and no amount of resetting, power-cycling, singing and dancing did not help.

it would once in a while decide to boot correctly, but acts as it something was plugged into BalckBox.
    Firmware 1.57

Im about to try crimping a new RJ-11 connector to see if it helps but the original connector seems fine

Did you follow all the setup instructions in docs.openbuilds.com/interface without skipping any steps (retrofit jumper perhaps?)

yep. It’s been working fine for a long time, other than not booting with USB stick plugged in.

And why would it say the post is used already as if USB from computer plugged into the Black Box?

The onscreen error says either the BlackBox is not properly booted up (usual blinky LEDs on?)
Or the USB cable is still plugged in (only USB or Interface not both)
Or (unlikely with the RJ11s, more likely with the older 4pin connectors) a damaged cable/connectors

As for it working for a while, still do double check that the Retrofit jumper is in place. It might have fallen off if it wasn't seated well, these things happen.

Had this happen to mine. Jumper didn't help. Solved by using phone charger plugged into usb port on interface. boots every time now. Have two machines both with interface only one does it. Seems like a low power issue.
