I've been having problems with the touch controls on the interface for my build. When I first got it it worked great but after a couple months the buttons started pressing themselves. So I'll be trying to replace a then all of a sudden the buttons are being pressed on their own and the machine starts to jog. Or if I hit up on the z axis the down button will glow and the machine will go down and ruin whatever I was working on or destroy a bit. Even when I'm running code the cancel button will press itself so I have to keep hitting do not cancel or it will double press cancel on its own so I I will have to restart my whole project from the beginning again. Has anyone else had this problem? I cleaned it out with some canned air amd wiped down the touch sensors with alcohol with no results. Do I have a bad interface?

I have the latest firmware. When I brought the interface and Blackbox inside to connect to my wifi I noticed it wasn't doing it. And I've tried to isolate the emi by disconnecting everything in my shed except the cnc machine and I even removed my vacuum. So unless the emi is coming from the machine itself I'm not sure where else it could be coming from

You can test Interface itself, away from the machine, somewhere in your house. Power it up off USB-C cable and try docs:interface:device-test-mode [OpenBuilds Documentation]

As for Wifi, that would be something in your network (make sure you have a 2.4ghz b/g/n network, that your SSID and PSK meets standard requirements, that DHCP works, and that Interface is fully booted up on the Jogging screen)

Any 3rd party parts involved? For example, not using our Meanwell PSU, or have a 3rd party spindle? Even if not a spindle, Did you test with the router off? (after a while brush wear can cause more sparking, could indicate its time to do maintenance on router)

I read somewhere that the limit switches may be a problem too. So I decided to disconnect all of them and looks like the problem went away. So maybe I'll have to try and find some isolated wire or run the wires separately

That's a symptom not a root cause. Find the source of the EMI and address that, simpler than trying to work around with band-aids on everything.
