    Hello Openbuilders,
I am having a strange scenario of the limit switch being activated and stalling my carving. This is happening when all of the gantries are no where near their limits. It always happens when I am vacuuming the chips. Perhaps if I hit one of the moving parts (usually gently).

    Does this make sense?

    Thank you.

The chips may stop the gantry from hitting the limit switches.

True but in this case there are no chips in the tracks, and it seems to only happen when I disturb it like touch one of the moving parts with the vacuum cleaner hose etc. If I stay away there is no interruption.

Ahhh interesting. My vacuum has a plastic hose which then extends into a metal one. I'll remove the metal one and see if it makes a difference.
    Thanks.

Plastic is typically the problem. It needs earthing.. Refer the link provided above

Very interesting read. Funny enough I have an Electrical Engineering Degree (Many moons ago) and this hadn't crossed my mind, but once read it all makes sense.
    Cheers
