I have a CNC router with a dual motor X axis. My controller is a BB X32 which only seems to support dual Y motors. How do I configure Openbuilds Control with this setup? Remember, left and right movement is X and away and toward you is Y. The hardware does not define X or Y.

You can build custom firmware using the grblHAL Web Builder. Ganged X motors is a dropdown on the first tab. Once built you can flash it using CONTROL > Wizards and Tools >×Firmware flashing tool

So if I flash with the output, on the X32, the two "Y" ports will now become the "X" ports and the "X" port becomes the "Y" ? If so, time to bust out the label maker, eh? <--Canadian

Y2 is the remappable port. XYZ is always XYZ. X2 will be on the Y2 spare port

Thanks, after I posted that, I thought, I bet only Y2 changes. :)

THANKS! Just tested and it works perfectly. I almost re-oriented my cnc router, just so I could get my head around this. I'm not new to CNCing, but new to the X32 and Openbuilds. Lots to learn but so far it's working out.
