    Hello,

    1. The problem is probably easy to solve, but I still have a problem. In Lead 1515 I did a software update. As the machine used to move smoothly and dynamically, now it moves slowly and calmly, which can be seen in video 1. I wanted it to move like in the video 2.
Can this be changed somewhere in the settings? make it faster and smoother?

    2. I don't want to start a new thread. The machine has worked about 30 rh. The rollers look like I have been using the machine for 12 hours every day for 2 years. Is it normal? Can you recommend replacement rollers? Maybe someone put linear guides on LEAD 1515?

    3. I want to install a safety switch. Does the Blackbox have a proper entrance to get into?

    1) Speeds are set by combination of Acceleration and Max Rates. Our default profiles are on the conservative end, you can tune them a little more. Of course, do make sure you have all the override sliders reset to 100% in case thats the reason you are slower now (Dragged on of them down and forgot about it?)

    2) Wheels are a long term consumable, if you see early failure its likely related to having adjusted the eccentrics too tightly, not using dust extraction and clogging up the rails, or chemical damage (don't use oil on motion components, only PTFE/Dry lube)

    3) Use https://www.rockler.com/safety-power-tool-switch - you don't want a "software" based stop in a real emergency. Where life and property is at stake, you cut the POWER!

    1) Would it tell you where in the user manual it is or recommend a page with settings?

    2) I just need to replace it with something stronger. I once heard that black (I don't remember the parameters) are strong. They had something in the name Extreme. Have you seen the LEAD 1515 built entirely on linear guides? I will now modify the Z Axis and replace the rollers with guides. Next will be the X axis and then 2xY.

    3) I read somewhere that you can connect such a switch to the BlackBox and I was surprised myself. I currently have it plugged in.

The entire Grbl wiki is a must-read, but direct to the relevant section: Grbl v1.1 Configuration

Guides come with their own problems, Wheels aint the problem (works great) as mentioned if you had early failure, something needs attention. See Xtreme Solid V Wheel Kit for the strongest wheel option. Properly setup should last you 5-6 years of daily use

Can and Should are two different things. In a real emergency you'll be thankful if you did it right. You don't want to trust software (Door input abused as an E-Stop) when a fire starts and your kids are trapped in the house. Cut the Power!

Don't catch on fire (: - also known as "what happens when you leave CNC unattended" [pics]
