Using the Openbuild Blackbox X32 with the Openbuilds Software. Just put my CNC together and am attempting to mill my spoilboard. I am trying to use the surfacing wizard in the software. I set my feeds and speeds with a DOC of 1mm. I started the job which was marked by the software to take 33 minutes... 9 minutes in it just stopped... No error no message no nothing. Just stopped. Seems odd... Any thoughts as to what might have caused it before I try running it again?
MDF dust can generate a lot of static so it may be electromagnetic interference. If you "air cut" the same program, will it also stop?
Thanks Peter. I'll check those tonight if I have issues and see if that sheds any light on the topic.
Depending on what you see (port reset, serial corruption) docs:blackbox-x32:faq-emi [OpenBuilds Documentation] would be worth a read, and ties into the earlier reply - MDF does create static in dust extraction, if the hose is not earthed
