Custom machine settings

    Hello I have been setting up a custom machine which I use lead screws. But in the grbl settings it asks for pulley teeth size . I'm not using pulleys what should I select if there any help out the would be greatly appreciated

    That tool is just a calculator. You can use it to calculate ball park steps-per-mm and then fine tune using calibration. It offers calculators for belt and leadscrew if you look carefully at it. Ignore irrelevant fields, or hide them by using the Dropdown to select the Actuator type specifically.

    What machine, what leadscrews, what controller?

    Thank you for your reply. My machine is 500 X 500 mm fixed gantry bit like the c beam
    And black box x32 and openbuild control with lead screws 1605 . 5 mm pitch

    5mm per rotation.
    BlackBox X32 is 1/8th microstep, and our motors are 200 steps per rotation.
    200 x 8 microsteps = 1600 steps per rotation. One rotation is 5mm, so to get steps per mm, we divide 1600 / 5 = 320 steps per mm

    Thank you. Much appreciated. Must admit the black box makes things very very easy compared to most great bit of kit
