    Hello

It's been a while, but maybe that's because my blackbox and router table has been running trouble free for a long time! But time for a spindle change.

I bought a AMB Spindle awhile back, the AMB 1400-FME-P. So it's a 230V unit. I'm in Alaska. I seem to remember either a thread, or a wiring diagram to get these onto normal 110V. Has anyone successfully completed this conversion? Do you mind sharing the process? Also, with 110V am I basically cutting the output of the spindle in half?

I do have 220V at my router. But it's a plug setup for a welder, different plug, it's a nema 6-50. And can't seem to find a plug converter to the euro plug..

Thats for any assistance, mechanically I'm great. But on the electrical side I feel lost.

Might you consider cutting off the Euro plug and installing a Nema6-50 plug to the end of the cable? https://www.amazon.com/ENERLITES-65351-BK/dp/B08GY447RJ/

Should be safer, easier and a lot less work with no real compromise

Peter, thanks again. I thought I searched pretty well before posting, but then searched for "Kress" and found my own thread from 2-years ago......didn't realize this was sitting in a box for that long.

    But

Had the same suggestion as above, so just ordered a nema 6-50 plug. So that should get it up and running. The reason I think it's been this long is because I also need to machine a drop plate to lower spindle, and rework the dust collection. But its time.

    Thanks
