I've wired an e-stop switch into mine as a temp setup to pause the motion as needed. It seems to work intermittently. Pressing the button stops the motion but it still allows me to manually drive the machine with the button active. Is this the expected scenario for the door/hold button or should it act more like a soft e-stop and prevent all motion if active? I plan on wiring a real e-stop at some point, but Id like to at least get a temp button that stops movement but holds position. My power strip is super close by so cutting power is pretty quick if its a real emergency. I'm mostly looking for a button I can hit if I see a crash incoming while I'm learning. My keyboard isnt close enough to just use the space bar currently.
It never even occurred to me that there might be firmware changes needed for the door switch configuration. I'll take a look at that tomorrow and see what's up!
