(NOTE: This applies to the BlackBox X4 only) And finally I got my H100 VFD 220V with 1.5Kw Spindel 2 poles air cooled connected to the BlackBox. Follow the instruction above. and the how to configure the H100 VFD below. I have testet it with my CNC and openbuild controle. Dont forget to calibrate the 0 to 10V H100 VFD 220V with 1.5Kw Spindel 2 SETUP F000 = 0 (Disable parameter lock) F001 = 1 (External signal) F002 = 1 (Analog input A1) F005 = 400 (Frequency limit) F004 = 400 (Spindle rated Frequency) F003 = 400 (Frequency at 10V will be 400hz) F014 = 10 (Acceleration time) F015 = 10 (De acceleration time) F143 = 02 (number of poles the 1.5kw spindle has) F144 = 24.00 (Maximum rotation/minuet)
Awesome. A slight modification if you have the X32 is run the enable line from the tool connector to X1 and the 0-10 from the 0-10V connector.
Just make very sure that the X1 does NOT have a 24v pullup (Some VFDs do) or it may damage the BlackBox.
Can I assume this is still the same hook up configuration for the same model in the 110v 1.5kw spindle?
I want to just turn the VFD on and off only. What plugs do I use on my X32 and what terminals on the VFD (H100 110 volt). Thanks in advance, (newbie) Kevin
I have attempted to adjust the voltage. Is the above link says to do and the most I can get is.03 volts dc. Very frustrated any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Kevin
Any earlier wiring different from the picture you sent? History along the way could have an impact Also post a Grbl Settings backup
This is a new build. It is the only way hooked up. Do I need it hooked to the program to be able to check it?
We provide the standard 0-10v signal. Everything else is VFD manual / VFD vendor side - i.e how to configure your 3rd party VFD to accept an industry standard 0-10v control signal. Speak to your VFD vendor. All VFDs we've come across could be setup to run just fine with just the GND/0-10v Signal. Enable etc not even needed if setup of VFD parameters is done right
When i connect enable from BB32 to x1 vfd 0-10v to Vi1 vfd Gnd to gnd vfd Spindle spinning all the time even if Bb off and usb disconnected then connected gnd vfd to x1 vfd 0-10v bb to VI1 vfd Same result then used NO relay from my old blackbox to X1 and COM relay to gnd incthe vfd and that works to control vfd run/off mode I think if i use 0-10v will go back to same result can’t stop spindle , for me no problem to adjustment Hz via vfd potentiometer The question is Is there something to worry about if used NO in the new blackbox32 ? And yes im in contact with vfd seller just need to wait 24h for every single massage
I set minimum operation to 80hz to to avoid very low speed 0-10v analog is work correctly But run commands is the problem
A properly setup VFD just needs 0-10 signal. Stops when commanded to go below 120hz (7200 RPM min for air cooling to work properly).
What I understood is 0-10v to control control hz And x1&2&3&4&5&6 to run/stop spindle 0-10v works fine Run command whenever it has gnd and something else, spindle running in minimum frequency without stop Even if BB is off and usb disconnected NO relay in BB is working good to run /stop OB to X1 comm to vfd gnd I didn’t try but i think if connect 0-10v and gnd from blackbox to vfd gnd then will have full circuit + and gnd will go back to same result now it’s fine to control on off spindles Rpm in the vfd keyboard
Can use it. But something in VFD setup could still improve because its not needed what set up correctly
Yes im sure you are right Just waiting to finish the very slow discussion with the Chinese thank you so much
Good afternoon all. I have a question. I just installed a VFD and spindle I have a BlackBox X32 I hooked up the 0-10V and Tool connections and it works but no matter what bit I select in VCarve the spindle always goes to 100% or 10V even when the speed on the bit is 1000 RPM, what am I missing do I need to change something in VCarve?
Are you using the Openbuilds post processor for Vectric? (docs:software:vectric [OpenBuilds Documentation]) Upload your g-code file so we can have a look at what commands are in it. Alex.
