Hello, I have finally received from support team info that my interface is unrepairable and now I have to contact to my purchaser about guarranty. But my question is how to bring back the state before uploading V1.57 when interface was able to manually steer motions except USB Drive reading. Because now the situation is the worst that inteface stops during device mode test after all instruction I followed. Is it possible to someone send me older firmware. I have tried firmware.bin I don.t know which one version from internet and nothing changed, not even device test mode shown. So I repeated upload V1.57 and always the same result. Stops on 5 step. Like I told before I uploaded V1.57 everything except drive was working. I know interface have sense only with drive but the result now is nothing works. I have bought interface somewhere in June 2022. Thank You for replies in advance.
The test reveals your hardware is damaged. Its NOT firmware related. Contact your seller, use your warranty - get a shiny new Interface
also, on this page docs:interface:firmware-update-wifi [OpenBuilds Documentation] I see 3 ways to update the firmware and only one of them requires a working USB stick. I would use CONTROL to do the update, simplest to me.
He's already up to date. But as you update from older to newer versions, we do a self test. His device fails that test. Or he is using an incompatible USB drive during the test, but I did advise him here yesterday to use the one included with the Interface (as did Support)
He did a downgrade test and USB is still dead. The timing of the update was at best coincidence but both point to a USB issue But please, do contact the store you bought it from... We always try and help where we can, but running through the right channels is important.
I bought it about 1,5 years ago, and never used it until yesterday and only advice you have is to trash it? The interface shines but not working it's not cheap electronic part. I also uploaded yesterday new firmware for X4 and had serious problems with calibration. These calibrations always took me 5 minutes. Today few hours. Once I calibrated not that precisly I wanted, second calibration with two points (I only uses this precedure) recalibrated motions deeply (10mm was like 50mm), motions are loud as hell now. Two days ago before upgrading was fine except USB drive. So what is the problem, X4 also broken? This interface and X4 is not my first one, I have more for other destiny. Never had to upload any software.
If these electronic have so much difficulties how can I rely on them? I have made a special destiny machine everything made from openbuilds part motions, etc and now I have to ask myself is the destiantion I have chosen bring me somewhere. Sorry but I am frustrated. Normally companies shows also older versions of software.
The forum, can't help you. Do as advised: Please follow procedure, if you explain to the store you bought it from that you never used it till now, it might be a valid way to get a warranty return. But the forum can't help you. Please follow procedure Yeah not Firmware update related either. That's just now how/what firmware works/does. Could be that you accidentally clicked the "and erase settings" option, though. Just reload profile or last good backup.
