I have 48x48 router, nema 23 motors, that I built 12 years back. The current setup is Mach 3 interfaced via parallel cable to gecko g540.

My issue is that the PC that runs mach 3 has died.

I really dont want to source an old PC and remain on mach 3 using parallel port.
So I was thinking of selling the gecko g540 and going with more modern setup, but what options would people recommend for this?

    TIA,

    Todd McDonald

Wasn't sure whether you were saying you wanted to stay with Mach3 (in which case I think an old PC is the only option?) or not.
A more up-to-date option would be BlackBox Motion Control System X32

The Blackbox 32 looks like it will solve my problems.

Looks like my current power supply is 48Vdc, so I will need a 24Vdc for Blackbox 32.

Get a good quality (Meanwell) power supply - cheap ones can put your electronics at risk of damage.

    24V Meanwell Power Supply Bundle
