Seeing that the lead machines are entirely user assembled I’m surprised that Openbuilds does not recommend using thread lock in any of their assembly videos or literature.?
Nyloc Nuts are used for any joints needing protection. Any others - yet to see a properly fastened screw go loose. Those black oxide flat heads grip do a great job. Try loosening a C-Beam Endmount after it's been tigtened correctly
Wow ok. I’ve used loctite normal strength on every single thing that I screwed in. Good to know though.
Yes indeed. I’ve had some fights with M5 screws. And now have a bag of spares. I’ve l Also learned from experience to anticipate and screws that will need to be revisited such as those affecting tramming
