    got it, how do I turn off the homing cycle as im cutting multiple parts from this one gcode and would like to just manually set coordinates on my stock

    It doesn't home. It does a Z clearance move in G53, but thats not going to interfere (that is best practice to allow safe moves without crashing into stock or clamps)

    Home once on powerup so the machine knows where it it.

    Then just SetZero or Probe where you need the origin to be

    I dont have homing switches, so i manually home, as soon as i hit run program after zeroing my machine the z axix drives into my stock

    My issue is, I have my machine zeroed out where I want the job to start, As soon as I click run job, The z axis should raise to move to its first cut position, but it doesnt raise, it lowers and drags the bit through the stock to its first cut position

    Correct, needs a HOME up and away - get the switches, or learn to fake it :)

    But really, get the switches. Setup Homing. You'll just have a much better time if you home. Consistency for recoveries. Machine knows where it is to use G53 moves. Just better! Worth the couple bucks!

    Hi @Daniel Smith, in reply to your private message, I started to reply to this post but go interrupted but @Peter Van Der Walt has given you the advice I would have said. Homing your machine so that you have a reliable reference point in your MACHINE co-ordinate system (the WORKPLACE co-ordinate system zero you are setting is stored as an offset from the MACHINE home position) is pretty important if you want to be able to go back to the same point where you set the WORKPLACE zero.

    then you need to be following the proper 'fake the home' method else it (the machine, nor gcode) will not work correctly

    well, you see, machines do not work like that.....
    they have a Machine Coordinate System (MCS), this is set by homing, or in GRBL's case, whereever it resets or turns on
    all other coordiante systems, called Work Coordinate Ssytems, are offsets from the MCS. without a proper home, the offsets won't work the way Gcode expects. All a part of industry standards that have been figured out after many expensive crashes (-:

    so the process in a nutshell:
    turn machine on
    home
    load Gcode
    jog to where the PART origin has been set in the CAM on the material, and setZero or probe there. This sets those WCS offsets.
    check that gcode display makes sense relative to the workpiece
    run gcode
