I used to use the Openbuilds Interface on my cnc machine. I had lots of trouble with it crashing etc and touch buttons doing there own thing. I loved the interface but just had enough in the end so started just using my laptop.

It was fine, not as convenient as the Interface but at least it worked.

I used my laptop on my cnc tonight and had to connect the charger since it had a low battery.

When I used the Openbuilds XYZ probe it registered and lit up green as soon as i connected the magnet to the spindle, even though it was not touching the bit?

After unplugging things etc it seems its when I connect the laptop charger to my laptop which my Black box is connected through a USB?

    Why is that?

AC EARTH to DC GND short somewhere.

Two prong plug on mains side? Try turning it around (live/neutral reversal) or it might be a leak inside the charger (replace)

Hi I'm in uk so it's 3 pronged plug and no way to change L/N round.
It's a moulded plug into mains AC and the same into charger so factory done. I will try another charger
