I'm adding a water cooled spindle here soon and would like to run my current relay to run my shop vac and my chiller. Is that possible? I know they say not to run your shop vac and router on it together cause of the power draw. So I'm assuming that the chiller takes alot less power and the relay shouldn't have an issue handling the shopvac and chiller together.
Specs of the chiller? Some has compressors and do use a lot of power, depends on the exact one you got (CW3000 series is just a fan, CW5000s has a compressor and active chiller etc) More importantly, chiller should really be run all the time. Keeps liquid flowing preventing algae growth and mineral settlements. Needs to run at least half an hour or more after a job to chill the heat soak out of the spindle. Etc
Check the datasheet for the exact current draw to be sure. Lots of different models in the CW3000 range too
