Hi folks. I am trying to get my Sainsmart Gemitsu router to run on Openbuilds Control and have hit a brick wall. The machine connects ok but that's it, nothing. Stepper motors don't move, doesn't home. I have reset endstop alarms loaded, unloaded and reloaded Openbuilds Control but get nothing. Have I missed something? Do I need to enter anything on the Console? Totally stumped...

Hi. Thanks for the reply. The machine has a Sainsmart controller and works with Candle and GRBL sender, neither of whicj I like. It's looking like I will need to get hold of a Black Box, I sold my last one a couple of years ago...

    Worked fine for me.
Just make sure you change the port, OpenBuilds uses port 5 whereas Sainsmart uses port 3.
I use a BlackBox 32 for my large CNC but the generic Gemitsu controller on my 3018 ProVer CNC

I finally got it sorted I changed the board for a Gemitsu Prover board, this afternoon I fitted it and wired up the spindle to a relay and wired the 0-5 volt socket on the board to the potentiometer pulg on the 0-48 PSU and I can change spindle speeds from the "Tool on" button. However, the right hand slider named, "tool" does nothing. Apart from that homing works fine with no alarm lockouts. I will try running a job tomorrow. Thanks for the tips folks!
