I just assembled my cnc, whenever I try to do the "hello world" project the spindle rpm set to 15000 drops to 76. if no job is running the spindle works correctly but as soon as it starts to cut the rotations fall. what could it be? thanks
You definately forgot to setup the VFDs Min Freq (120hz) or min RPM (7200)! Dropping that low will burn spindle windings, turn on the VFDs safety features! Did you remember to setup a Variable spindle in CAM? Your gcode has S1000 instead of S24000
Hi, thanks for the quick response So I have to program the 120hz VFD for min frequency, right? (I think I just set 400hz for high) and I think I just put Variable spindle in openbuilds control, could that have been the problem? Sorry, I'm new to the world of cnc. When it appears to choose a machine, I can use the most similar one, for example the lead1515, mine is also this size, is it ok? thanks again
Yes. The next section (toolheads) are more important CONTROL doesn't have anything like that. Just the $30 Grbl Setting. My screenshot is from OpenBuilds CAM
