installed the latest update this morning, and the machine has basically lost its mind, every time i get out of the program it loses its a axis configuration and wont reflash without rebooting the laptop every time, installed the grbl settings from back up file but the machine shows on the 3d view the work area off the machine to the top and right, the popups to help navigate the grbl settings are now gone since the update so i really have no idea where to look, the machine was operating flawless until today, i used the openbuilds cam software too program a simple pocketing operation and after i downloaded the 3rd operation all these problems started maybe just coincidence i have no idea.

Most likely :) Last update just made some changes to the surfacing wizard and removed a couple old retired machines from the list of machine profiles.

Flash once per update. Never again. Flashing over and over for no reason will wear out the flash memory, causing symptoms like forgetting settings etc. So lets start there, why are you flashing everytime!?

Grbl settings are not stored in software, its stored in flash memory on the controller

Will until you HOME to tell the machine where it actually is

Did you remember to CONNECT so the software can see there's a 4th axis controller connected? You have to be connected first before the buttons will appear

Cube is Machine Coordinates, Grid is Work Coordinates

When I say make sure you homed, it is implied "homing correctly" forms a part of it. Jog directions correct, homing directions correct etc comes into play too

Do setzero too to setup work coordinates as well and it knows where the stock origin is
